Important Information

  • take your cake straight home & refrigerate!! Especially in warmer weather.

  • car floor (or held if you have a passenger) is best for travel, avoid seats as they’re angled and your cake will shift. Air conditioning on the coldest setting is a must on hot days.

  • please don’t display cakes in the sun or shade (your cake will melt quickly even in shade)

  • for picture perfect slices, cakes cut best cold (from the fridge) with a hot sharp knife

  • (Dipped in a cup of hot water for each slice) just like a dull knife doesn’t cut a tomato well, it won’t cut cake well.

  • cake is best served at room temperature, cold buttercream is hard buttercream.

  • if you’d like a video cutting tutorial shoot me a message or YouTube the size of cake you ordered for a cake cutting video - I've also posted a photo diagram of my preferred method below.

  • individually wrap leftover (chilled) slices in saran wrap (twice) and store in the fridge for a couple days, or the freezer for a month. To defrost move to the fridge overnight. Bring to room temperature (1-2hours) before enjoying.

How to Cut Your Cake

You can find great instructional videos on YouTube by searching "how to cute a 6" cake" (or whichever diameter you ordered) or "how to cut tall cakes". They demonstrate the cutting methods for the diagrams below:
